Course Description

This course (MITAGS-142) is designed for mariners designated to assist passengers in emergency situations. Attendees become familiar with lifesaving appliances and control plans, learn mustering procedures, and demonstrate the ability to assist passengers to muster stations.

This USCG approved course satisfies the crowd management training requirements for   of 46 CFR 11.1105(a)(1)(ii); STCW Code Section AV/2 paragraph 2, as amended 2010; AND, The Crowd Management training requirements of 46 CFR 11.1105(a)(1)(i); STCW Code Section A-V/2 paragraph 3, as amended 2010; AND The Crowd Management standards of competence required by STCW Code Section AV/2 paragraph 3 and Table A-V/2-1, as amended 2010.

Why You Need Crowd Management Training

Crowd management training is extremely useful for those trying to meet STCW code requirements for passenger vessels. This training may broadly expand the range of maritime jobs available to you, particularly on passenger vessels.

Crowd management training will give you the background you need to help run muster drills and safely assist ship’s passengers to their muster stations and embarkation stations. Upon successful completion of this training, you'll have proficiency in international regulations on passenger vessel onboard safety and be eligible for many maritime positions that include assisting and protecting the safety of passengers.

What You Need to Register

To register for the MITAGS-PMI Crowd Management course, as with all MITAGS-PMI marine training courses, you'll first need to sign up for an account with us. Fill out and submit the basic online registration form to generate a unique username and password. You can then use this information to log in to the website and register for any courses you wish to take.

When the crowd management course is next available, you'll see a list of times for when it's being offered. Simply select and submit the time that's best for you.

 

What You Should Bring

Expect to bring a passport or other similar identifying document and a pen and paper to take notes. If there are other materials needed, you'll be informed of them when you sign up for the class.
