Course Description
This seminar is intended to familiarize LNG terminal and shipboard personnel with terminal and liquefied gas tanker safety and cargo operations. LNG tanker types, design, equipment and operations will be described. Terminal equipment such as pumps, hard arms, gas compressors, vaporizers, heat exchangers, and shore storage tanks will also be included. The seminar is designed to be 4 days and includes the LNG simulator. The course was designed and written by the Maritime Institute of Technology and the Gas Technology Institute.

What You Will Learn
Successful completion of this course should enable attendees to perform specific tasks and carry our responsibilities related to those duties in connection with cargo and cargo equipment. The attendee will have a basic understanding of the properties and hazards of liquefied gas, cargo containment systems, terminal equipment, cargo equipment and instrumentation, safety precautions and measures, ship/shore interface and emergency procedures.
