This course also trains candidates in containership operations, RO/RO vessel operations, dangerous cargo regulations, grain rules and other information on dry bulk, or containerized cargos.  Week two of the Cargo Handling & Storage course (CMM-CHS II) includes information on tankers and tanker operations, liquefied gas tanker operations, ships’ construction, dry-docking, and surveys.

Both CMM-CHS I and CMM-CHS II must be completed within the period of one year to receive a “70-hour Advanced Cargo Operations” course certificate.  Please note that evening course sessions will occur and the instructor will assign those specific dates at the begining of class.  Also, effective July 1, 2011, Cargo I and II will be combined into one, 10-day course.
